How do I upload an image?

Open Media and drag your files in, or press Upload. Every image is stored once and can be used on as many pages as you like — an image field opens the same library so you can pick an existing file instead of uploading it again.

Give each image alt text while you are there: it is what screen readers announce and what search engines read. You can also set a focal point so crops keep the important part of the picture in frame.

Before deleting anything, check the Used on panel — it lists every page currently showing that image. For tidying a big library, see Focal points & organizing your media library.
